Meet Josh Kantner, Math Tutor and Creator of JK Math
Math had been my favorite course subject ever since grade school, and so it only seemed right to continue to study it in college, where I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics in 2021.
Now, having a degree in math is nice and all, but having a degree in a subject doesn't always translate to actually being able to teach that subject. When you need help with a subject, you don't necessarily care about degrees...
What you care about is results!
During my time in college I found myself frequently helping a few of my peers understand different concepts, at their request, for various math courses (Including Calculus 1, 2, 3, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Statistics, and more!) I would often hear from others that I had the gift of teaching.
Additionally, while at college I first gained experience with tutoring while being a teacher's assistant (TA) for an introductory statistics course. Between my time as a TA and my current tutoring services at JK Math, I have hundreds of hours of 1-on-1 tutoring experience.
After college I decided not to go the traditional teacher route in a classroom setting. Instead I chose to create my own video tutorials for various math courses and tutor individual students privately online. Between those two mediums I believe I am positioned to impact more students who are struggling with math around the globe, and help them learn it better.
