Calculus 3 Lesson 56: Lagrange Multipliers
Dec 10, 2025Hi there! Today I have released Lesson 56 of my Calculus 3 series. In this lesson we finish off the 3rd unit on multivariable functions by learning about Lagrange multipliers!
Specifically you will learn:
- Where the method of Lagrange multipliers for optimization comes from and why it works
- How to solve optimization problems with constraints using Lagrange multipliers
I hope you find this new lesson for Calculus 3 to be helpful! As mentioned above, this is the final lesson of the 3rd unit for Calc 3 on multivariable functions. But also, this is the last new Calc 3 lesson for 2025.
Starting soon I will be taking my annual Christmas/New Year break from working on new videos to rest and be refreshed & ready to go for 2026, where I'll be picking back up with the 4th unit on multiple integration, and work towards finally finishing Calc 3 (aiming for completion by late summer, if not sooner).
But that aside, if you are preparing for finals coming up soon, I'm wishing you the best! Finish the semester strong, you've got this 👊
See you in January :)
